Greetings from Great Ocean Road Real Estate, Torquay

From our perspective it is crucial that we have a full knowledge of our market and one aspect of this is the actual number of properties for sale in our area. If you search the main web sites you will see availability numbers ( houses, townhouses, units and apartments ) sitting at around 320 properties for the 3228 postcode. For established homes this is incorrect, as a large number of listings are house and land packages presented by volume builders. The actual numbers as of yesterday are :

TORQUAY – Total listings ( excluding land ) = 140

JAN JUC –  Total listings ( excluding land ) = 19

By comparison to this time last year the number of listings for sale is down by approx 12 % which suggests a more buoyant market at present. Interestingly, the rental market is also strong with fewer numbers available across all sectors and no shortage of applicants. All signs of a strong market across the board and surely a confidence booster for all buyers and sellers alike !
